AMAZING SUPER-DUPER 50-FOLLOWER SPECTACULAR SPECIAL

I've hit a milestone on my Vidme channel. These days it seems like all the kids are making milestone videos, so I put an infinite amount of time and energy into my own, as my way of saying thank you.

My Cunningham Courier Career

I've been writing a weekly sports column for the Cunningham Courier, for the most part, since I was a sophomore in high school. It only recently occurred to me that the experience now equates to more than 11 years!

News Release assignment

For this homework assignment, we were given a long list of "facts," and asked to turn them into a high-quality news release. I'll first post my own news release, followed by the information we were given. Given my current career-path, I'm out-of-touch with writing news releases, but ultimately enjoyed this assignment.

As this is homework and I have no idea from where the information came, this should in no way be considered factual or useful.

Video Games with Jackson and Easton

This video was originally published on my Vidme channel. My young friend Jackson wants to be a YouTube star (not that I can help him much there), and his sister Easton just happens to enjoy Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

The Internet, Video Games, and How They've Corrected My Personal Brand

The following was written as a post for my LinkedIn profile.

The other day at church, during the sermon, I had a neat personal revelation. It didn’t have much to do with my faith, life, or even the homily (Father John, if you hear this, I apologize). Actually, it had to do with video games, but with a little dangerous rationalization I’d argue that it also related to how I perceive and project my own personal brand.

Writing Home: Finding My Right Writing Medium

The following was written as a post for my LinkedIn profile. Coincidentally, it helped inspire me to create this digital portfolio.

I wondered, for a long time, if and when my writing skills would peak, or at least consolidate into fewer, more-focused avenues. It’s my own doing; I know I ultimately control the destination. However, the path has been (and still is) pretty indecisive.

Introduction Biography

The following is the week one introductory assignment, a short personal biography, for Journalism 868: Information in Context.

I’m an enigma, a balanced conglomeration of imbalances, more like a nine-of-all-trades than a jack, and an unacceptably cryptic hand gesture in a game of paper-scissors-rock. I’m indescribable – every time I think I’ve got myself pegged, I learn something new about myself – but I’m going to try anyway.
