Co-Ed Slow-Pitch Softball Mixer for Children's Miracle Network
My wife and I have decided to host a co-ed slow-pitch softball mixer for the Children's Miracle Network! As big fans of Extra Life, we decided to take the idea of charitable gaming to the other end of the spectrum.
Our goal for this event is to attract 30 people and raise $150, but we'd love to reach our stretch goals of 40 people an $200 or more!
It's the first charitable event we'll host on our own, and we hope it's the first of many. If it's successful, we'll be more than happy to repeat the event again next year!
So, if you happen to live near or be traveling to Lawrence, KS, on Thursday, July 27, stop in and give a few bucks to a great cause in exchange for some casual softball fun!
I recorded a podcast on the event a few days ago to brainstorm and flesh out my thoughts a bit.
