NES Quick Fix Failure

Last year I bought a cheap, filthy Nintendo Entertainment System at a garage sale. It didn’t really work at all, just producing blinking red lights and solid-color screens. I’ve done some cleaning, but had never repaired one, so this seemed like a low-risk way to learn.

Sadly, my efforts were all for naught; the console still doesn't work. However, I recorded my lessons-learned for posterity's sake, which you can check out here.

I also learned about a cool product I may try someday called Blinking Light Win, which takes care of most NES issues and extends their lifespan significantly.

Last but not least, it also gave me the opportunity to try out DaVinci Resolve, quite possibly the best free-version video editing software available. I look forward to offering my thoughts on it soon.
