If you like visual novels you've probably already played some version of Doki Doki Literature Club, among this genre's most popular ever. I was on the fence, so I tried the vanilla version on PC for free, as can you. Just don't be fooled by the expressive packaging, it's intentionally misleading, in kinda the opposite way as those TikToks where they stab something that turns out to be cake. Most importantly, if you just collect switch games, it's solidly good, common, and influential.
